Wormhole Night

The coffee was thinner than air
We found it lacking
We drank it up
And we were rising

The clouds were full of tunnels
With hot locomotives
We wore tin foil
And we slept on ashes

Fuzzy fences, feather fields
Waxy nest of moonlight
We watched it melt and spread
To warm the wormhole night

Ten grey lambs nudged us awake
Then turned transparent
Noses like ice
And feet like funnels

We crossed the white noisy creek
Static striped our socks
Orange and blue
Like bumblebee foxes

Fuzzy fences, feather fields
Waxy nest of moonlight
We watched it melt and spread
To warm the wormhole night

The coffee was heavy as mud
We found it bitter
We drank it down
And we were sinking.
