Mother Moth

Mother moth wrap me up
In your pale and chalky coat
Mother moth the moon is up
A sword wiping its starry blood
Across your black sheets
Mother moth to Father stone
Desperate to flutter home
Mother moth we go alone
Into the cavernous bedroom
Explicit moon gold-framed
Mother moth we’re hunters
Behind yellow headdress
Swinging from the crescent
Mother moth I am consumed
A clapper in the molten bell
Unwrapped from your cocoon
Desperate to flutter home
Mother moth I prey on sound
Father star falls cut and drowned.
